FWIW - I use a set of these straps. They are period correct and look pretty nice on a vintage suitcase.

Thanks for the reminder, Jim. I also have two pieces of tan leather luggage with travel stickers that need to go as well. They are not as square as the one in Jim's photo, more of a slight parrallelogram shape (typical 60's-style), but they do sit nicely on the rack.
