Street and sand toys on Old Dixie Highway. There is another one just past Commercial Blvd. He is good. He totally restores old VWs. His shop is spotless, which to me is a sign of a good mechanic. I wlli have to look up his address. Where are you, I am in Ft. Lauderdale and have a VS. Maybe we can look at each other's cars to get some additional ideas.
Thanks Guys for the help.

Richard: I have heard from a shop in Ft. Lauderdale but did not yet have a chance to check it out. I think the shop is Lenny's VW (www.lennysvw.com/index.html), right off of Commercial.

I am up in Boca and would like to meet some day. I guess we have to wait until the weather cooperates. I have a white/brown Speedster with flared fenders.

Thanks again.

Gary

Gary. No,the mechanic I was referring to is located on Cypress Creek Road and somewhere around SE 7th Ave. He is in a warehouse type of building that runs perpendicular to the road. There is a side profile of a full size VW bug on the wall that is visible from the street. The first stall is a paint and body shop that does air cooled VWs The mechanic is a couple of stalls away from the road.
