I have a set of 1989, 911 Fuchs 5-spoke rims with the standard Porsche center covers with embossed Porsche insignia's. All of the center covers have two small holes in them to accept enameled Porsche crests which are similar in size to a 356 hood crest, but have the two studs on the back to go into the wheel center covers.

I saw those wheel crests for sale once in a catalog (Automotion?) but it was for a limited time and I didn't get them. I haven't seen any offered anywhere since.

Anybody know where I might find them?

Thanks, Gordon

Yup, that's what they're for - if you get the right wheel crests they have two little posts on the back that fit right into the center cap holes, then there are little "speed nuts" (kind-of like tinnerman nuts, made from sheetmetal) that slip over the studs and hold everything captive.

Looked at Tweeks, but all they sell is the entire crested center cap while all I want is just the crests. I think I saw them in Automotion a few years back, but just once and then they were gone. They're exactly the same size as a 356 hood crest, but with two studs rather than one. I'll keep looking and see if I can find Partwerks on e-bay. If I find a sizeable quantity I'll post it and maybe a few more of us folks can fill those wheel holes with something cool.
