Not sure on a fuel booster but on every fill up I add Seafoam to the tank. I, and others, have also used StarTron fuel additive. Both of these products help stabilize the fuel and counteract the effects of the ethanol. They also keep things cleaner so you plug your idle jets less.
Have you checked to make sure none of the idle jets have gotten plugged? This will cause the car to idle poorly and greatly increase the chances of a carburetor fire.
Edit: Correct seafood to SeaFaom. Dang autocorrect.
Um, I think Robert means Seafoam. Then again, I’ve never tried poking a fish stick or two in with a fill up. Maybe he’s onto something.

I had time to fix it. LOL
I think all the cats in the neighborhood would follow me around.
Ha - made me think of those old Mercedes diesels that were converted to use old frying oil. They go down street smelling like french fries or fried shrimp.
Hey thanks for the information if I put in some seafoam or startron will that clear the idol jets. or how about a squirt of carb cleaner?

If the clog is due to gummy fuel it should but if it is some solid particulate matter, no.
Good fuel additives are important especially when the car sits for periods of time. They keep the ethanol from becoming a powdery residue which clogs the idle jet circuit. But once there plugged the only way to unplug them is to remove and clean them and the idle circuit . Sea form, justice brothers, swepco or a amsoil are the only good fuel additives available.
Thanks for the info !
