I have been looking for an in-line fuel cut-off switch/system. Can anyone recommend a company or website? I have read that people use a cut-off switch on electronic fuel pumps, but I have a stock fuel pump. My preference would be to have the system in 'the belly of the beast' and not through fancy wiring in the engine compartment.

If you want to hook up a mechanical fuel shut-off valve, something in-line between the fuel tank and carb, any ball-check valve from the hardware store will do the trick. The valve, a couple of barbed fittings and a short length of hose with some hose clamps to hold it all together and you're all set.

Everything ought to be available at your local True value.

An electric shut-off switch could be wired to a second wiper or headlamp switch. It'll fit right in with the other switches and could draw it's power from the first headlamp switch . Double the safety, running lights on as well as fuel pump on, all looking perfectly stock and hiding in plain sight.

Hope it helps,

TC
Seems like any dual gas tank solenoid switch would work. Just plug one outlet port. They are all ready made for gas service. Available from nearly any truck accesory store, RV dealer or good ol JC Whitney. Just hide the accompanying electric switch somewhere only you know where it is. Had several in various trucks, never had a failure.
