Awhile back I was following a thread that recommended to go to Palo Alto speedometer to make certain that the Brazilian repro fuel gauge was matched to the volkswagen sender by having them match ohm readings. Well I'd better have the most friggen accurate gauge in the universe, because they charged me $200.00 for that service. Wow, thats more than the gauge cost,,,double wow, I could have bought 2000 wooden paint paddles to use as dip sticks and never used the same one twice,,,for the life of the car.
This is a tough project for a guy who is cheap, and strives for perfection. maybe I'll have to be.....one or the other !

please next time some one recommends a procedure or fix, include what it cost you, maybe together we can narrow down our sources to more economical choices......"No honey, please don't divorce me until I'm done with the speedster....."
