This will be one of many "does anyone have any experience with...." threads that I'll be posting in the upcoming months as I rebuild my IM.
I've decided to go with fuel injection-my 44 Webers are toast (literally) anyways. I've looked at CB's and Redline's setup and recently came across a single throttle body setup from a small company called TDS (the Dub shop). They have a website and an ad on Samba.
I like the idea of going with just one throttle body and using Megasquirt as a fuel management system. The price seems decent too.
Anyone heard of TDS?

Ron,

Unless you want to go with O2 sensors and computers and a bunch of money I would buy a fresh set of carburetors........;-) BTW for $400 or so if memory serves Henry has a new automatic fire system that mounts under the hinges in the engine compartment. It's self contained and IMHO an option NOT to be forgotten.

Dave, I don't mind putting a bung in the header, installing another fuel line, and tuning via a computer-probably isn't any more difficult than tuning a set of Weber dual carbs (I hope). I do like the idea of one throttle body and it looks like the engine can be installed in the car with the intake manifolds in place (unless the injectors or in the way).
Dubs is located close to Seattle, which is a three hour drive from my place. I may end up driving down to have a personal look at his fuel injection system (and his turbocharger!).

Extreme tuneability is the biggest pro of EFI thats programmable.. Its also the biggest con.

It can be tuned over 100 points of manifold pressure and RPM ranges and it also MUST be tuned at all those points.

Its not for everyone, if you can't master a carburetor don't be fooled that you can tune EFI successfully, or that your engine will run as smoothly and simply as a 2010 model.
I went EFI and won't be going back.... and that was with independant runners rather than a single throttle body plenum setup.

I wrote up the process I went through here:-

1 - You'll want a wideband O2 like an innovate LC-1. Forget narrowband it tells you very little that you need to know.
2 - Forget Megasquirt and go for something used by professional tuning shops in your locality. In the UK we have a company called DTAfast and I used their ECU product to great effect.
