Ordered a CB performance fuel pump and looking to install it prior to my Magnaspark 2 install.

I did a search and still a bit confused. I understand the need to wire in a fuel pump cut off in case of a rollover, etc. But I also realize that if I rollover I got bigger problems.

So..can you clarify the easiest way to wire in a fuel pump (I am horrible with wiring). From what I understand I can do the following.

Ground to chassis

Power from pump to an inline fuse (what size?), then wire into the ignition switch using a snatch block (which terminal?) and I am done?

I will do a relay and what not at a late date just looking to get the pump installed for now.

Thanks!

This is what I used and am very pleased, it works well.   (Note: wire in the diode that is provided.)

As an alternative, if you can find a spare switched power fuse on the fuse block that would be easy.  Or you can jump off an existing switched power circuit, on the hot side of the fuse, and use a 10 amp inline fuse to power the pump.  This would power the pump anytime the ignition switch is "on".  The relay above gives an added measure of safety by monitoring the tach signal to determine if the engine is running.
