Reviewed past posts on this subject finding no leads to my 2013 VS issue. Gauge only reading just under 1/4 when tank is full. To avoid the mess of removing a potentially good sending unit, I bought a new sending unit. Checked it was good; 78 Ohms empty & 5.5 Ohms fuel- good. Set the unit up, with a separate wire to a separate good solid ground, to manually move the float and monitor gauge. Here is what happened; float fully up (representing full tank) needle position was parked below the R just if the key had not been in the on position. Float at 1/2 position down, needle moved between R and 1/4 mark. Float fully down needle did not move. I was thinking of setting up my float to fully up position, set my meter wires at the gauge terminal & other wire to a good ground. Move the float around to see what happens. Any other suggestions to what next to look at?
