Hi everyone and all the best from Germany.

I saw a video on youtube and the original Porsche Speedster has full Glas sidewindows. In the video they say they are original by Porsche...

Has anyone of you seen such windows anywhere to order or is it something I should create by my self? ( I'm not talking about these little glas flaps against the wind)

Many of us have made such windows ourselves.  Each car is different from the next, so there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” solution.  Getting the to fit properly can be challenging, but it is worth the result.  Not only do they seal better, but visibility is vastly improved.  A lot of us have installed the round pop-out style aircraft vents to improve ventilation when you have them in.  They’ll never be as good as real roll-up windows, but they can come much closer than side curtains.  You can get a lot of advice on how to create them here.  It’s kind of a fun project.  Enjoy!

Problem is that they charge another $25 flat rate to ship . As an alternative you can buy and elongated chrome draw pull cutting off the short end for the station ...2 handles make for pieces $7.                                                                                                       https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polis...b:g:U5oAAOSwvkNcWGvr

They are small, round, transparent plastic inserts into a hole cut into the window material that are commonly seen on small airplanes.  They cat pop open and rotate 360 degrees to facilitate airflow, and they are really helpful.  I'll see if I can find a picture of what I did.  In the meantime, perhaps someone else here can find a similar picture.

Alan...are you saying you can turn a drawer pull into something like this ? I think that is what Jan is asking about.

What about Troy's CruZin windows?

Troy’s windows don’t completely fill the opening and are not intended as full side windows, but rather a cool looking extended wind blockers.  He didn’t design them for weather proofing.

I’m the one on both of those.  My side curtains are held in place with a couple of bent stainless steel bolts, but I can’t take credit for coming up with the idea.  Just go to the search function and do a search for “ola miltorp” and it should pop up a few hits showing you how to build the side curtains out of 3/16” acrylic, how to bend the lower forward corner with a heat gun to seal against the corner posts better AND how to bend a stainless steel steel bolt to the right angle and then adjust it for your particular car to fit everywhere.

Let me know if you need more photos than are already in the earlier posts and I can take some for you.  Now that it’s almost winter here, the top is up and windows in most of the time.
