Hi Guys,

Only just realised I could now post on this forum. Thought you might be interested to read my thread on painting my speedster.

I live in Scotland and have some stunning roads to drive on, which makes up for the fact that it's usually freesing/raining or both!

Hope you like it!

I have the attention span of a gold fish. I know my limitations.
I normally like to do small paint projects like motorcycle stuff.
Nothing bothers be more than getting near finished(in a garage or
tent)on a complete car only to have a bug, dust or other ruin the job at the end. I brought the car to my friends house in PA to have the floors done and then we were going to paint it. My car was therefor quite a long time. He replaced my floor pans in his spare time(free time was few and far between). It did kind of strain relationships a bit and I threatened Maaco on numerous occasions. Winter is coming quickly and I didn't want my car there till next year so.... A couple of friends and I visited PA, block sanded, sprayed high build primer, more sanding, sprayed sealer, wet sanded and sprayed paint. Two part chromabase($290 gal.for the 1st stage), luckily I got the 2nd clear coat for free. It turned out great. If it didn't I would have walked away and sent it straight to Maaco or other. I don't have a "redo" in me. I have not been back up to see the final product after sanding/buffing. But I have high hopes.
I'll post some other prepaint pics later today.--Bruce

p.s.--Thanks Alan
