I know I'm not the only one with boxes of spare parts in my garage. Now I MIGHT need some of that stuff someday but I bet somebody in this group needs something in there right now. I'm still stuck at work but I can still get the ball rolling from memory:

hood handle with no badge

right teardrop tailight unit with faded red lens

FiberFab bumpers with guards (scuffed, red)

Fiberfab roll bar with mounting brackets

Lecarra black "leather" wheel

Speedster script

Mystery seats (black vinyl/grey cloth, supposed to be from a Beetle)

more stuff when I get home

All this stuff in used condition. Cheap! Free to anyone who shows up at my door with a Speedster.

Come on, post your junk!

Steve, at least seven. A VW fuse block comes with eight, if you want the old-style ceramic fuses.
Figure one for the ignition, one for the accessory switch, one for the head and tail lamps, one for the turn signals, one for the brake lights, one for your gauges and one for your wipers -- at a minimum.
There would be more if you have a radio, et cetera.
My fuse block isn't powering all that much stuff; I've subdivided everything into its own fuse to troubleshoot more easily.
Sorry I've been slow to reply, I was out of town for the weekend.

Let's keep up the good work; thanks for jumping in Alan! I would love to get that turn signal switch if it's one of those "Porsche" look Bus switches. I have that very Beetle-looking cast switch.

Here's my WANTED list:

exhaust (I think Mel has me covered)
carpet (probably going with Vintage)
shifter boot and wood knob for EMPI trigger shifter
ivory knobs for headlight, emergency flashers and wipers
VDO gauges
"PORSCHE" dash script
Antique grille badge (maybe Nurburgring or something)
set of door handle seals
drop spindles/lowering plates
canvas top, tonneau, and boot
dash padding, eyebrow, and trim

And the DREAM list:

Carrera decklid
2200 turnkey OR hideaway turbo kit
front disk brake conversion
LeMans turtle-back tonneau cover
hood buckles
paint job
Corpse badge
$20+shipping Bruce; I'll email you with the details, try to do it tonight.

I also have a VERY short t-handle shifter of unknown make, it's $20+shipping and so is the steering wheel (no hub or horn)

And a Speedster script that's broken in half, $free+ship

I got the bumpers off yesterday so if anyone needs them, I think the overriders would be good for somebody. $50+shipping for a set of four. If you want the whole bumpers you can have 'em, they're scuffed and the rubber in the deco has shrunk.

The seats and rollbar are free with pickup.

Put me down for second dibs on those bumpers and over-riders, OK? Or just the bumpers if OD only needs the over-riders . . . I don't need any pics.

Thanks !

Cory, gimme your old broken hood if you're gettin' a new one. I wanna try something stupid and need an old fiberglass hood to make it work.
This is the best horse-trade thread in a while!
TC, the hood's yours when I get the one from Al. And if Brian gets his new decklid, you can also have the CMC one on the Hoopty, and I'll take his twin-grille jobber and put it under the knife. Got any seats more comfortable than a slab o'granite?
Al, it'll be after I get back from Alaska in July. Brian and I will "come and git it."
I won't need the hinges; just the latch hook mechanism I already have.

"TC, how should I go about shipping those suckers?"

Kinda cup the rear bumper into the front, like sleeping "spoonsies" and tape them together in a handful of crucial places. Then just wrap them in brown paper, I use cut up shopping bags, tape 'em good, and ship 'em out UPS. No box or anything needed if they're covered in paper.

I sent a convertible top frame off of my '59 Ghia last year in the same way. Easy Peasy!

Lemme know what I owe you via email, include your address, and I'll send off a check and the ivory dash knobs at least. I might have some other goodies in the cellar, how about a PCA badge for the engine grill?

Thanks !

TC

"Got any seats more comfortable than a slab o'granite?"

I have a some 914 seats, some after-market racing seats
TC, will do. The PCA badge is tempting but that might be too much posing, even for me. Still, the old ones do look cool....

Allan, is there a picture of that switch anywhere? I just want something that looks a little more "Porsche".

And OD, if you still want those over riders just the shipping is fine. They're rashed up good on the bottom.
