Hey everyone!  I know there are some old posts about this, but I'm wondering if there's anything new as they seem to be outdated after several years.  My Vintage Speedster gas gauge quit on me reading empty at all times.  I tested the sender and readings at the gauge and everything else still works.

Questions:  1) Can it be repaired somehow?  2) If not, where can I find one (105 mm diameter combo with oil, fuel, temp)?  3) Can someone tell me where I can find the rubber seals to take up the gap between the gauge at 105 mm and the hole at 111 mm?

Thanks for any help.  I did send a contact message to Beck last year with no response, but if that's the source, I can call direct.

Question 1: It can possibly be repaired, call Palo Alto Speedometer they can walk you through whats possible and potential cost.
Question 2: Not sure who currently has them in stock, others might be able to chime in here. You're looking for the new VDO gauges.
Question 3: Many sources for the 911 speedo rubber gaskets, but this is what you're looking for: https://partworks.de/en-en-en-...bber-ring-100mm.html

If you don't mind the black rubber poking out behind your new gauge, your all set with these gaskets. If you want to blend in a little more, I took the 911 gasket and carefully cut off the top lip off and had a very small ring of aluminum cut to put behind the new gauges to make up the difference between the slightly smaller new gauges and the old. With a little metal polish the aluminum blends in with the gauge chrome outer trim.
I have a few spare aluminum rings if you go this route that I'd be happy to send to you for the cost of postage. Feel free to drop me a line if you have questions.

When I ordered a new needle for my Brazilian VDO from Hemut at PAS, he told me the OEM VDO guts go right into the Brazilian gauges. If that what you have, or 914 gauges, the can just put a new gauge into your combo gauge.

I can’t find a picture of the specific VDO gauge but your combo gauge has two little gauges behind the face plate.

if it were me, I’d take the opportunity to get one of the Carrera/904 triple gauges that include an oil temp and pressure gauge with the fuel gauge.

@Quadmod  thank you for the information.  I have the old Chinese versions of the VDO gauges with a 602 label on the housing.  I might look into replacing the guts if possible.  I don't mind the seals showing, but I have to admit that your aluminum rings are very nice looking and create a classy style to the dash.  Once I figure everything out, I may reach out to see if your extras are still available.

@dlearl476 I'll take a look at the ability to open the housing and replace with the VDO insides.  No matter what I do, I have to try to fit this stuff in an oversized hole.  I did find the seals from several places including Summit Racing and UroTuning.  I have 3 coming in soon.

Thanks for the help!
