Gas Pedal

Looks like Pedalwerks to me.  Check them out on the Samba site or just Google them.

I've used these a few times ...about $45 on eBay ( Dead pedal is extra)

The challenge is to fabricate an attachment (bracket) to the current pedal...so that I can heel and toe

 The key seems to be to add a bracket to the current pedal for heel and toe work...so that your foot can roll on the "extension" when you are under braking and the brake pedal is far forward.

Naaah... as the inestimable Bob Wallace might have said...here's what we will do.

 

 Use the "red plastic" from this boy-toy racer kit on the original Brazil plastic pedal and we are down-town !

Alan: how much modification Required to make these fit a Vw pedal set? It appears they aren't made for that configuration.

Bob - We can install!  Just remove old rubber pads, line up new covers and drill mounting holes.  May need to get longer mounting screws but easy peasy. I used stainless steel screws and nyloc stainless steel nuts. Might need few stainless steel washers for spacing out. 

Just carefully position the covers on the VW pedals and drill, comes with hdw too and takes about 35 minutes to do...best to remove pedal assembly from car though.
