Are you talking about something better than the stock assembly?
Hi Al....Yes, some thing better than the one that came with it from VS. Something more precision or more smooth in it's operation.....Bruce
Check out Pedal Werks at http://www.pedalwerks.com. Pricey, but nice stuff.
Bruce--here it is. Contact Wolfsburg West (951/549-0525) and order:
p/n 111721507F Accel pedal '66-'79 $7.50
p/n 111721647AGR, Accel. Pedal Pad 6.00
p/m 111721615A Accererator repair kit 7.00
Shipping---------------------------- 8.02
Total------------------------------$28.52
I had received an EMPI pedal replacement and what a piece of junk! I threw it out as soon as I opened the package. The one form Wolfsburg West is super with the pedal itself being twice as thick as the EMPI one and everything else is higher quality too. Google to find out how the spring goes---search of The Samba and you'll get a picture---really simple if you can see how it goes.
Good luck. Jack
I really like this guys stuff. I have this accelerator pedal as well as his clutch pedal upgrade.
I like this idea too:

A little pricey but I have already changed out my pressure sensitive switch twice.
$160 bucks for a stop light switch?
Are you kidding me?
Go to NAPA and get a Chevy Pickup stop light switch - any year from 1937 to 1962 - it don't matter. They were originally and are still made by Echlin. They were also used on just about every GM product in those years, too.
Look at it close and you'll figure out how to mount it on the floor just in front of the pedal arm so the actuator arm of the switch rides on the pedal arm.
Run wires to it.
Total cost - about $15 bucks, and it'll probably last longer than your car.
And I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would need TWO accelerator pedals...
Rusty, thanks for the link to the new pedal design. It's on my 'to buy' list.
Thanks Rusty...The unique parts assy. looks good. I'm going to call the guy tomorrow. Also thanks to all you other guys for your suggestions as well.....Bruce

Accelerator Pedal #1 = Fast
Accelerator Pedal #2 = Ludicrous Speed

Bruce you can check out my pedal assembly on Saturday then decide if you like it.
Wouldn't that dual gas pedal setup be the thing to have when you get those dual parking brake rigs?
Hello what do you think of this kit?

I'm sure they're very nice, but $1,100 for pedals? That's almost a Quaife, and I already have working pedals...
But a must have for a spyder replica owner.
I also found the very high value with this value I buy a motor lolol
