I am on my second cork gasket installation and I am making sure that the little nylon rings are around the screws that hold the unit in place on top of the gas tank. If I put over 7 gallons of gas in the tank, it weeps gas from the sending unit top. I have tightened the screws short of possibly stripping them. Is there some sealant that will solve this problem? Maybe a different gasket instead of cork?
