gauge LED's

Anyone seen plug in LED gauge lights for 914 gauges?

be sure to read the geneneral info about LED bulbs. As an example of the difference with incandescent bulbs, if the LED bulb is going to be behind a red lens, you want a red LED bulb because of the color wave length difference NOT a white bulb.

Also they offer a Glow wire that is also a nice trick for tight place apps. where the Leds are not good enough to do the job. I used the blue glow wire on a white face 2" VDO clock, works very well..

Are you happy with the LED bulbs in a gauge application as the light is emitted from the end rather than all around like a normal bulb

Any source for the sockets?

I tried them and found them quite insufficient.

I put a led flex strip In my bug speedo It was tight,,, but WOW!! I really need to put that on the car.. it turned out nice

If I do it again I'd use the glow wire and a hot melt glue gun .

It would be much easier to install.

I will let you know what I think about them when they arrive and I get a chance to play around with them a bit.
