Gearbox For Sale

Now that my speedster is sold, I have the original transmission that I need to move. I believe it is a 4:12 or such with approx. 3000 miles. Had no issues with the box, just wanted a 3:88. Don't know value or if there is a market. If you have interest, let's talk. e-mail nlong@mitternight.com

I sold 2 IRS ones years ago for $50 each - that's for a used one that works but with no guarantee. I recently bought entire rear half of chassis (for the title and matching piece of the tunnel plus the data plates with VIN) that came with brakes, trailing arms and a '74 trans for $150. So that makes that used trans maybe $75-100. I'm sure if you find some one local with a bad trans you might get as high as $200-250 especially if you can provide receipts that it was rebuilt when you got it so many miles ago. Lots of rusted out bugs out there and the trans are pretty durable - large supply, low demand!
