Don't do the ball, unless you like the feel of a softball in your hand.
The thing is HUGE! And with the flat spot on top it has a really foreign feel to it.
I ordered one and sent it right back...an expensive mistake when you consider Berg's restocking fee.
Take the "T" handle and grind/sand/polish to a more ergonomic shape.
Although it's not "correct" looking, it's really a nice feel. You angle the "T" towards you a little.
I went with 40% and like it a lot. It's a pretty short throw.
I ordered and received the above mentioned shifter and am quite pleased with it. Kind of pricey at $325 delivered. I just dont care for the t-handled version so I popped extra for the ball. I'm happy with the size of the ball compared to the small Beck shifter knob.
It feels like you can really get into it.

Thanks to all who responded with advice.

Mike

I've heard that items are substantially cheaper if you pick them up at the Berg Store. Too bad we're not all closer....

I wonder how much extra they would charge to NOT put "Gene Berg" in big letters all over there T-handles and shifter balls?

I mean, I love my T-shifter, but I don't need to be reminded of the guy who thinks he owns my car whenever I drive it!!

I've even had people whom I don't know at car shows call me "Gene"!

"Gene" Nichols (at least my initials are the same)
