Did John say anyhing about his "suby coupe" while you were there? Ain't seen nothing here yet, but he mentioned it in an email to me a month or so ago.
I saw John's Subie coupe last Sat. at cars and coffee. He took the electric coupe he built and put a subie in it. still a works in progress but it was pretty cool.He claims 40 mpg with 150 hp or so.
The engine pulls nicely, it feels quicker than my 2332. The fuel pump is louder than the engine when idling, but then again it is still in development. He just changed the final gearing, so 2 nd can go close to 50mph (I did not red line it). So anybody thinking of getting a Subbie engined coupe should check with John.
Charles I love your car...what a ride
Thanks for the compliment. The CBC (aka 'The Colonel') is also nice in so many ways that are not visible - handling, braking, cornering, power, etc....... Having said all of this, it is the SAS prototype coupe with a Suby power train and those cars that have followed are reportedly much more nimble.
However, this thread is about Gerd's Cherries Jubilee Coupe. I do hope that Gerd's JPS Suby-powered coupe turns out well and that he is pleased with its performance and amenities. Wait ...... I seem to remember something about that ......
Gerd be nimble; Gerd be quick; Gerd jumped over .........

ACK! I can't help myself. Now see what you started, Charles.
