Hello

I just purchased a 914 2 Liter (GB-type, 100 hp) engine
and need to get a new exhaust.
I would like to have a "German look"(original look) style.
I have seen on Vintage Speed that they have these mufflers:
http://store.vintagespeed.com.tw/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=8&Itemid=80

Part no.155-203-43500 and part no.155-203-450SF

I have asked Vintage Speed but they couldn't help.

The problem is that I also would like to have heaters on my system (I live in Norway).
Do anyone knows what kind of heaters would fit these mufflers
(or any other "German look" style mufflers) ?

Have done quite a lot of search on this on google and here, but have not found a good solution yet.
It's a 2008 VS car.

Ove-I am unfamiliar with the exhaust/heater-box setup for the type4. You might want to check 914World or RoadGlue forums to see if there are any comments posted.
Also check PelicanParts (dotcom). Select Porsche, then 914 for a catalog of 914 parts.
Here's an article that may be of interest: http://www.tunacan.net/t4/tech/exhaust-porsche.shtml
Also you might check with Jake Raby regarding any type4 issues: you won't find a better source for the CORRECT info.
If you are "mating" the type 1 heater boxes to a type4 exhaust (header) I have no knowledge of how to do this.
Jack Crosby (a site-member here) has a Raby-built type 4 in his speedster and, I believe, he has an auxiliary heater as well.

Also, if I recall correctly there was a company called Dansk that used to make heat exchangers or heater boxes for the air-cooled vehicles. I'll watch this thread to see if I'm on the right track with what you are trying to accomplish. Good luck!
