Okay ... I might have figured this out again. Like riding a unicycle with a peg for a leg -- but the shirts have been ordered and paid for.
We'll be receiving 150 shirts. There will be 50 large, 50 extra-large, 20 medium, 20 double-extra large and five each of small and triple-extra large printed up.
A bell curve:
5 S
20 M
50 L
50 XL
20 2XL
5 3XL
The blue ink is Columbia Blue, and the shirts are Ash Grey. The same Gildan shirts as the past couple I had made, so I know they'll last, and the screen printer is local to me.
They will all be short-sleeved shirts, and only in men's sizes. I'll keep checking back here for who wants them, and the cutoff date to have your orders mailed to me will be 15 April. If it goes as it has in the past, I'll have time to mail the mail-out shirts before the event. If there's a delay in production, obviously, that might change things -- but the printer has promised me that come hell or high water, they'll be available long before then.
Now ... separate matter entirely: tool bags and coolers. THOSE things will be available at the show, first-come, first-served. I have had good luck with the embroidery lady I do business with in the past, and she thinks this'll be just as seamless as the first go-around with the tool bags was. Nonetheless, I don't yet have the stock in-hand to deliver to her, so I'm hesitant to provide a whole hell'uva lot of details on what they'll look like.
In general terms, the embroidery on the tool bags will be four cars on one side and a modification of the SmS logo in yellow on the other, both fitting neatly on the pocket flaps of an Army-style, black canvas bag.
The six-pack coolers will be dark blue, with white lettering from the pattern on the fronts of the tee-shirts. As far as I can tell, they will hold cans and not bottles, which isn't my first choice, but I'm trying to keep the cost down on both of those things.
Please refrain from trying to advance-order those things, and let's keep this to shirts. First-come, first-served may mean waiting until everyone's checked in, but I know there are a few of you who already want some of each. I'm having 20 of each bag made, pending samples. If they suck, I may cancel them and try a different style.
Time and patience on those, but we're rolling along nicely on the shirts.
Side note to Ron Mullis: I like your idea a lot. I suspect a clear backing will look a lot better than a white one. Please, proceed with your plan. I'm not emotionally attached to the artwork. :-)
