Small, medium, large or XL: $15 or $21 shipped (per shirt).

2XL or 3XL, $17 or $22 shipped (per shirt).

No long sleeves. Blue, water-based ink on ash grey. That's it. Men's sizes only. First-come, first-served.

Mail your PRINTED NEATLY check to me, James Drake, at 372 Hall Rd., Crownsville, MD 21032.
Indicate size and number of shirts in the memo block. If you want it shipped, you better ask someone if they can read the return address and your full name BEFORE you mail it.

If you've ever been told you could write ransom notes for a living, get someone else to write that mother out. I'm not guessing this year.

No cursive. None. Not one letter.

A check is winging its way to you via the tireless employees of the United States Postal Service.  Said check includes instructions for 1 (one) XL (extra large) and 1 (one) 2XL (double extra large, AKA big boy), for a total of 2 (two) and an amount of $32 (thirty-two US dollars) to be transferred to you.  All text on said check is either printed on the check by the company that made it, or printed by me with the exception of the signature which is written in my peculiar style of cursive, thereby rendering it unreadable - a simple mode of encryption that I am sure you will understand.

Okay ... I might have figured this out again. Like riding a unicycle with a peg for a leg -- but the shirts have been ordered and paid for.

We'll be receiving 150 shirts. There will be 50 large, 50 extra-large, 20 medium, 20 double-extra large and five each of small and triple-extra large printed up.

A bell curve:

5 S

20 M

50 L

50 XL

20 2XL

5 3XL

The blue ink is Columbia Blue, and the shirts are Ash Grey. The same Gildan shirts as the past couple I had made, so I know they'll last, and the screen printer is local to me.

They will all be short-sleeved shirts, and only in men's sizes. I'll keep checking back here for who wants them, and the cutoff date to have your orders mailed to me will be 15 April. If it goes as it has in the past, I'll have time to mail the mail-out shirts before the event. If there's a delay in production, obviously, that might change things -- but the printer has promised me that come hell or high water, they'll be available long before then.

Now ... separate matter entirely: tool bags and coolers. THOSE things will be available at the show, first-come, first-served. I have had good luck with the embroidery lady I do business with in the past, and she thinks this'll be just as seamless as the first go-around with the tool bags was. Nonetheless, I don't yet have the stock in-hand to deliver to her, so I'm hesitant to provide a whole hell'uva lot of details on what they'll look like.

In general terms, the embroidery on the tool bags will be four cars on one side and a modification of the SmS logo in yellow on the other, both fitting neatly on the pocket flaps of an Army-style, black canvas bag.

The six-pack coolers will be dark blue, with white lettering from the pattern on the fronts of the tee-shirts. As far as I can tell, they will hold cans and not bottles, which isn't my first choice, but I'm trying to keep the cost down on both of those things.

Please refrain from trying to advance-order those things, and let's keep this to shirts. First-come, first-served may mean waiting until everyone's checked in, but I know there are a few of you who already want some of each. I'm having 20 of each bag made, pending samples. If they suck, I may cancel them and try a different style.

Time and patience on those, but we're rolling along nicely on the shirts.

Side note to Ron Mullis: I like your idea a lot. I suspect a clear backing will look a lot better than a white one. Please, proceed with your plan. I'm not emotionally attached to the artwork. :-)

That will be 1 2XL, please! Husky Boy size!

Shoooot, I don't know about that. You had to deal with the Topanga Hippy and Crazy Al. You are too generous. I'm just showing my gratitude.

Cory - the check went out today. Rather than risk confusion, I included a handy typed letter with my address and our shirt sizes.  TRP - XL, Musbjim - XXL *he's so beefy!

Dimensions on the coolers: 7.25" high, 8.5" wide and 5.5" deep. They ought to accomodate bottles.

They're going to be $20 each, and I sincerely hope that the twenty I'm asking the embroidery lady to make are all sold at the show. They'll be Navy blue, with the front-of-shirt logo embroidered in white thread.

Again, $20 each; available first-come, first-served at Carlisle.

The tool bags are up in the air at the moment; the bags I used last time around are NLA, but the ones we've got to go with this time are of the same inside dimensions. The pocket flaps on the sides are a little different, and I don't know just yet if the graphics guy and the embroidery lady are speaking the same language.

I'll be sorting that out in the next day or so. It's still looking like the canvas bags will cost in the $20-$25 range, and I'm not going to have more than 20 made ... so I'm not left 'holding the bags,' so to speak. These will also be FC-FS at Carlisle.

More information as I get it. Thanks for your patience; I'm hoping to answer the mail on all three of these things. The first batch of shirts might be done by this weekend, so I can get a photo of one to post here. THOSE are going to be awesome.

Woo-HOO!
