While it will not be completed by Carlisle I will be making the trip in my A5. Looking forward to finally putting faces to names.

Wow, Joe! That engine bay is really cool.
Between you and Ron Mullis the SE elves are working overtime. It's too bad it won't make Carlisle but you gonna have fun anyway.
Joe,
What is that in the 3rd picture?
Cupholders, need a place to keep my macchiato.
Where to get the cup holder?
Contact Carey Hines.

Someone posted another version some time ago, but I couldn't find it.

I think the last one that was posted didn't require the 6 plus inches of depth behind the mounting surface. I recall it came up and out and then locked into place.
Yeah, that one's pretty cool. Tom's source is out of stock, but it's pretty much the same as one from West Marine for 2/3'rds the price.

Marty, that is beautiful!
You guys and your coffee holders...
I have the West Marine ones (paid $7.99 each, I think, on the 'bay) and I've never yet ha the top arms fold down while placing a drink in it. Mine is screwed to the tunnel and blends in with my black carpet. It's not elegant, but it gets the job done. In a Speedster, the only way to beat it for price and utility is to lay a mostly-full roll of duct tape on the floor. I'd have done that myself but don't have quite as much floor space as you fancy Porsche guys.
Here is my cup holder. Varied mounting locations. Easily adjustable for various cup sizes.

Can you be my permanent passenger?
Cup holders in a Speedster are like condoms in a Speedster.
They mean you're using the car for things it was never intended to accommodate.
cupholders,,just put the 40 oz. between ur legs and drive,,extra benefits in hot weather, just like A/C
...or do like Angela Lane does. Put a roll of duct tape on the floor and insert the cup in the roll opening.

Well, my wife loves her coffee and Carlisle is 700 mile Jaunt. I'm glad to have a right seater for the long drive. So, keeping her comfy doesn't spoil the experience IMHO. See some of you in 5 days:-)

Oh look, big hands!
Joe, nice bumpers! Did they put a car between them?
Soon Bob, very soon. Carey doesn't want to mount them until they are finished with the radiator.
