Ignore that it's for sale and check out the center image in the bottom row of pictures.

Isn't that one neat set-up for stabilizing the swing axles ? ! ? !

Beat's Hell out of my flimsy Berg Bar . . . .

Love to see the build pics on the rear suspension.

"It could just be his solution for a replacement spring setup. It has no function as a camber compensator."

Yeah, that's why I'd love to see some build pics. I think that the transverse spring's double function as a camber compensator would entirely depend on the spring rate. Honestly, my Berg unit is flimsy crap with a ridiculous lower pivot point. I'd much prefer a tunable transverse progressive spring set-up (in addition to the stock torsion bar) if one were tested and made available.

"With the double bolts on the spring pack, again it looks like it would, but can't articulate one side to other."

Again, it depends upon the spring being used. Even with the rigid lower center mount, there would be a degree (a tunable degree) of spring wrap in addition to the natural end flex at the spring eye. A pivoting center mount would solve that problem and provide a progressive option to what is now a thin band of metal.

Not this this is a solution to a semi-solved problem as it sits, but I'd STILL love to see how it all comes together. I know that there's SOMETHING there for me. With alterations for sure, but I'm extremely worried about the chassis under the Fiat and how the power is going to stay on the ground. Looking everywhere I can for adaptable solutions, you know? If a transverse trailer spring can be adapted and tuned, fine with me. I even love the whole look of it.

Of course, I ALSO love the look of this brute, so go figure . . .

I KNOW ! ! !

Isn't it just the coolest EVER ! ! ! The problem is that the whole pulley/fan belt/generator fan set-up is dependent on a small about of slippage in order to function correctly.

Check the forums and you find that there is a problem even with the serpentine belts detonating cooling fans due to the lack of slip at high rpms. Welded fans help, but the VW engine really doesn't want TOO high of an rpm for proper cooling. It's like picking the middle bed at the Three Bear's house. Too loose, bad choice, too tight worse choice. Middle ground with a smidge of slippage, El Perfecto !

That chain is totally unforgiving, no slip at all, but completely, brutally, BITCHIN' no matter ! ! !
