Girl in need of a rack.......

Get your mind out of the gutter boys, I already have one of those kinds of racks. I'm looking for a luggage rack that will fit my CMC. New or used will work, but I've heard the ones a VS dont fit the CMC's. Can someone please help me out and tell who manufactures these or where I can aquire one? If you have one lying around in your garage that will work too. Thanks- Meriah

Ricardo; i'm glad you did it, because i've spent all afternoon refraining...so I won't go there.

From what I can see, not many CMC owners with racks. You can look at GClarke's photo for an example. I found my rack on EBay. The Leitz rack measure 7.75 in. x 12.75 in. to centers of the inner mounting holes for a single grill application. Good Luck!

Those Leitz ones are expensive, aren't they?

They can be a bit pricy if you are bidding against someone with deep pockets. Keep in mind conditions too! There's been a few on EBay that have gone for as little as 200 (some pitting/rust) to almost 500 (show condition). There's a guy Louisparas that has been posting a couple of new Leitz and Reutter racks with buyitnow option. He recently had a New Stainless Steel version that sold for $377.00. SS would be the way to go!

Mine was from an early 60's Speedster.

I have bought a couple of things from Louis and the quality is good and the delivery is quick.

Wii the Reutter rack fit a CMC Speedster? I know that Russ at Fibersteel is offering one for $295.00.

i think not anyone of the existing racks will fit your cmc/fiberfab.

the problem is that the grill is a little bit smaller then original. there was also no good chance to modify.
