Thanks George. I would still like to look into a 'Super charger' for the 0 lag. What are your thoughts? Rember I want to auto cross, and I am of the opinion that low end torque, and instent responce would be crusel. Whatah you think mistro? Doug PS I don't think an intake sticken' out the rear grill would be so bad??
Doug, beats the Hell out of me. i would think a large displacement normally aspriated engine with a cam that would give a good torque curve might be better than a supercharged engine (as opposed to a turo'd engine). You will probably also need a limited slip differential (LSD) with a supercharged engine to keep wheelspin down.

A ZF LSD does not "unload" much when you get off the throttle but a torque-biased LSD will.
Last week at CB Performance Pat Downs took me for a ride in the company's Beck 550 Spyder replica. It has a 1,955cc blow-through turbo motor and is so fast it scared me. That car with the two of us in it (maybe 1,900 lbs. total weight) accellerates faster than most performance motorcycles I have ridden.

So, imagine what a 2,387 turbo would be like in an 1,850 lb. Speedster replica with a 200 lb. driver... ZOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM
