Congratulations! Enjoy the ride!
ohhh the wheel caps. yes, i need those. i am going to look for some with the porsche crest on them. if anyone has any they're selling i am interested. i will probably also look for a nardi steering wheel with a porsche horn thing as well. the ones on ebay are so spendy though.
here's another shot to show the interior.
Keep the Banjo wheel it looks perfect with that ivory cream color combo. Congrats a gorgeous car.
Yes, yes, yes...keep the Banjo steering wheel. Congrats on your new car.

Annaliese.
Here is a link to Socal Imports in Long Beach. Walk in with cash and you will get them for $25.95 each.
Congratulation on your new Speedster. Looks like you even got the customized interior you wanted.
Annaliese...Welcome aboard...I saw your tub last week when I was at Vintage,
I lick, I mean like, your choice of exterior color. the tuck-n-roll looks good also.
I am looking forward to seeing you at one of our runs in the near future, so
check in on this site for future activities...
Keep the Banjo, looks more authentic with the color combo you chose....

this morning i read through the big thread about banjo steering wheels and the 'flex' that comes along with them. didn't inspire a lot of confidence.

Unless you are doing a lot of vigorous driving, I don'think you have anything to worry about. I just installed one and I love it.
the banjo will be fine for a little bit while my boyfriend is getting my used to driving manual. after that i really think i am going to treat myself to a nardi. maybe even an original one. i LOVE the way the banjo looks but i know it's going to frustrate me.
Adoliese---welcome to the madness! Gorgeous car and I know you will really enjoy i!
I have the Nardi and it's fine---the banjo wheels are very popular too---just choose the one that makes you happy! Welcome and I'm looking forward to seeing you on the site!
Annaliese - my Beck and your car has a similar color combo. Here is what yours will look like with the 'moons', and also an original Nardi with the horn button you mentioned. Congrats - just allow extra time when you go gas up or run errands for all the alluring fans.
Annaliese - you can also see the Coco mats.
All this talk about gripping and flexing, and mooning has me all worked up, I need a cigar
and a scotch......
.
just got an email that i have to wait until tuesday to pick it up. torture.
Annaliese, more pics of you... errr, I mean your car please.
here's another picture of my car
if 9 months - 2 years was the time frame i would have just bought a used one.
Not one grey hair, and she still has all her teeth......what a show-off......
Can't wait to see you in the flesh....& I do mean flesh.....
calm down, vinny.
Jack sometimes is a man of few words...Annaliese, perhaps you've stunned him !
perhaps vinny's forwardness stunned him.

And Vinny needs to have another Pool Party/BBQ..... TODAY
All Nardi wheels are the real thing. You must be looking at vintage ones which were on the original cars. It would be a waste to spend that kind of money on a replicar.
A new Nardi will retail for around $350.00 but you can find them here, on the Samba or Ebay for $150.00. Hell, Kirk will probably change out your banjo for a Nardi as a straight trade.
Of course, you could always contract Mike Lempert to make you a beautiful custom wheel. Prepare to wait awhile.

Like Terry said, Kirk might even change it out for free. The banjo you have might even be a little more expensive than the Nardi. Be aware that the horn button in the picture is custom and does not come with the Nardi. I don't think Vintage sells them, but I bought one from JPS a long time ago.
If Kirk does swap it out for you, the second picture is what the horn button will look like.
I have a Nardi steering wheel and really like it. We had historic races at our local track a few weeks back, and I got a chance to drive some parade laps in my IM. Generally, the four laps are slow, but on a few corners I got to take them at speed. Boy, was the Nardi wheel slippery!
I can see why nobody tracks their car with a wooden steering wheel.
For the street it's perfect.
