I had a couple friends drive both the Speedster and Cobra to the GoodGuys show over in Loveland. My buddy, Mike and his 13yr old son Christian drove the Speedster and Lucas and his girlfriend, Alyssa drove the Cobra, Lucas is the son of a friend of mine from our car club, 24yrs old, and he was astonished when I asked him to drive it. I have a lot of faith in Lucas and I think he was scared he might hurt it knowing if he did either me or his Dad would kill him...LOL...I just know he really wanted to let 'er rip...LOL. Once I can drive it again I'll let Lucas open it up ...

We parked both cars together side by side and on Sat were joined by two other Cobra owners, several Cobras together always drive up the spectators..LOL... and I swear Mike and I spent the entire weekend answering "What is it?" regarding the Speedster...LOL. There are just not a lot of them around, there are only two others that I have seen on the streets, both from Ft Collins, here in No CO they are a rare sight.

There were a couple other sports cars on display, one was a '48? MGTF fully restored, a restored '59 MGA sort of a Magenta color, black leather interior, the owner said it was a stock color, with chrome wire knock-off rims and there was a hot rodded '58 MGA project with a Buick Grand National engine, mag wheels, custom frame, etc. still in primer gray and a fully restored  Red '55 MB Gullwing 300SL, wow, what a car that is! Valued at over $800,000...I think it won the "Just Because" award. I kinda drooled over it...LOL

Here's a bit of useless MG trivia: The TC (circa 1947) was essentially a remake of the prewar TA and TB.  The TD was the most common classic-style MG that everyone thinks of.  The TF was a stopgap forced on MG by the BMC leadership after consolidation of the British motor industry.  BMC leaders favored Triumph and didn't want the new MG to outsell the TR3.  By '56 (I think) the MG folks won the battle and put out the modern looking MGA.

Ed, you are more of an expert on MG history than I am so please correct me if I am wrong.
