There is an awesome BBQ place there called the BBQ Exchange. Make sure you stop by...if you like BBQ.
Virginia is a beautiful state. We drive through there when we head to the Outer Banks usually each Spring.
Gordonsville has fantastic history too.
Well, of course!
Just look at the name!
My son has mentioned the BBQ Exchange. Unfortunately (for me sometimes) my wife is a pescatarian. She's not much on BBQ places. But one of my favorite restaurants is a little French placed called the Pomme in Gordonsville. We are parked in front of it. Great day trip. Head out of Charlottesville drive to Gordonsville for a little lunch then a few vineyards or breweries on the way back. Also GREAT rolling roads. Beautiful.
I had to look up "pescatarian", but it sounds like your wife and Jeanie would hit it off. The list of what she can eat is very short.
My list however, is pretty much designed to keep the local medical community from experiencing any hard times.
I probably spelled it wrong but it means she does not eat any animal meat except for fish. She does eat eggs. She read 20 years ago that people who eat a Mediterranean diet which is essentially this diet live forever. Lower chance of heart attack and stroke. But also less chance of getting many cancers including breast and colon. I have no doubt that she will live forever. Me not so much. But that's ok. I'm looking for quality not quantity.
A life without ribeye is not worth living.
At first I thought "oh my God, there's a name for it and there's other people like her!", but upon looking it up it isn't her. Beth is just a somewhat fussy eater (not a big steak or roast fan, bbq isn't her thing unless it's chicken, and the list goes on; I'll eat everything but 1 or 2 things on the menu, she'll eat 2 things on the menu), so as Stan said, they'd all probably find it relatively easy to find a restaurant. Me, otoh, love good barbecue (not a lot of it up here on the wet coast of Canuck-land) and I agree with you Stan,
A life without ribeye is not worth living!

Very cool car there Phil. We have a great C&C here in NVA just way to early at Katie's in Fall Church. I went this morn at 7:00 late for Katie's. Some cool rides there today. A very nice 1965 356C 4 cam original and last of according to the owner write up. The Chevy truck was kinda cool had an unusual shifter, check it out.
