A freind of mine spend some time here in N.C. and liked my car .He found 1 /18 scale 356 model on ebay that was damaged . Took it all apart painted it rat rod flat black removed the bumpers and filled holes etc , duplicating my car its cool .He is retired and has tons of spare time. But a realy neat gift.

Pete, I read your post last night and was touched by it. I have some little notes and things given to me by my kids over 27 years ago-one I keep in my tool chest. Things that are given spontaneously, and especially, things that are hand-made, show a certain amount of special affection that can't be duplicated by a store-bought gift. I think these are what is called a "labor of love". Your friend sounds like a thoughtful, caring person. It says a lot about him, but it also says a lot about you. This is a good post; I thank you for it.
