Got it in but with much  ##@@%^&*(((  going on. Finally had to lube it up with soap as my older windshield top bow just seemed to have too tight a grip for it to come down over the rubber.

Hardtop rear window rubber arrived too and I finally got thru to Vintage and they'll ship four new "butterflies" for the new side curtains for the hardtop tomorrow. A pretty good day all round. It's been 5.5 months with no windshield on the car. The new dash colour came out nice too and I did remember to install the lift a dot fasteners for the upcoming full tonneau.

I thought you had the windshield replaced last year at Carlisle---what happened to that one.

Not a job for the timid---glad you got it done.

Giday, Jack. We did replace the one at Carlisle last year that got broken by a rock coming off a truck on the freeway in Georgia but we woke up in the morning and the bugger was cracked again. Windshields are certainly a weak spot for me.  :-)

Thanks for the comments, Lads...

David, You are a gucking fenious  - huh, whaddhesay??

It looks primo, MGM, and the dash is very good.  I want to see the paint job on that fabric.  It is hard for me to believe that you can just "paint" vinyl/leather, but everyone seems to rave about the product you used.  Need to see it up close and personal.

I wish I had that many fasteners for my tonneau (?).  I understand that you can install them w/ the windshield in place, but is a bee-atch to do -- so I hear.
