Haven't been active here lately. Patiently waiting for IM Speedster.
Wanted do give an up date on a recently completed 3800 mile trip from VAncouver,BC to Austin,Texas. Took delivery on a Black/Black/Red, IM Speedster. 2110 cc, rack & pinion steering, power windows, AC plus a special Boxter style exhaust system. After all that I had read about high oil temp on larger cc engines I had some concerns. Am happy to report that we crossed the Mojave Desert (at or below sea level) with AC on. The temp needle only reached mid point on the guage. Drove in the mountains (9000 ft.- Grand Canyon) temp still in mid range. We had a great trip. The car handled and preformed perfect. Could even listen to CD at speed with top down and side windows up. This is a testament on how well build and engineered car an IM is. Will follow up with pictures as soon as I figure out how to write text and download photos.

Robert,

I saw your car when I was in Vancouver to inspect my car (the silver speedster about a month or so behind yours) last month. Your car was stunning.

My car is very close now- Henry was aligning and starting the test drive phase tonight. I hope to have the car shipped next week.

I'd love to drive it back, but there are several reasons why that's not possible. The trip sounds fantastic though- I'm glad you had the chance to make it, and I hope you figure out the picture thing os we can share in it as well.

Good luck!
Angela,

Makes sense for us NW fans but since Stan is getting a roller, sans engine, pushing up those passes might be a drag, litterly. He has an engine waiting for the IM and am sure he'll be on the road in a few days after his ship rolls in!

I'm headed for Reno for a few days, leaving Monday morning. I am going to visit my money and see if they are investing it wisely!

How goes it with you guys? A few more days of fall color driving left, give me a call if you want to crush some leaves, Bruce
Robert
The weather in Vancouver was OK upon arrival. The Next morning when we headed to Whistler it started to rain ( all the way ). Poured on the way back.Found out quickly, the Window seals work, stayed weather tight inside! Had great weather in northern California. Can't get much better... crusing down Hy. 1, top down and 70 degrees.
Felt like I was 30 again. Speedsters can do that you know.
Whoops, dang, didn't realize it was a roller... Sorry Stan. And Bruce, I'll be back in town tomorrow for two weeks then back in Virginia for 3 weeks.... Probably won't get much quality time with the spyder. Sorry. Couldn't think of a nicer guy and speedy to go leaf crushing with! angela
