I know I keep praising Kauth & Mayeur here in Peoria, IL. ad nauseum, but I just have to do it again.

Had the car in for tuneup, full going over for any issues, and particularly a partial overhaul of the Dell's, especially the driver side one.

Well, a month or so later the same issue that caused me to have them gone over to begin with seemed to have popped back up. Before I could get the car back in, it just basically quit running and the situation was even worse. Gas everywhere, stacks, crankcase, dripping onto the header and forming a pool on the floor.

K&M sent out a flatbed. Towed the car to their facility and Michael Benet, the owner of the shop and a Vintage Speedster owner as well, tore down the carb, found the problem (jet and seat) fixed it, called me for pickup the next morning and then refused to accept payment for anything, including the tow!

Just wanted to say thanks.....again!

Oh guys it was nothing.

Bob is a "preferred customer" with his family of cars anyhow, so he gets a thumbs up here.

His dang Dells are somewhat troubling. The car will run for hundreds of miles then some oddity like this will happen. My tech & I think we saw the issue (needle & seat), but we are watching it closely forever now. They are not difficult carbs, but BOY do they like to be surgically clean and precisely adjusted. My Kardons are like a garden hose in comparison. Turn a spicket and fuel runs through. That's about it.

Anyhow thank you.
