That's the one Theron, that's my future "daily driver"! I can't wait to see Tom's at Carlisle! I'm really excited about John's coupe, it's going to open a whole new side to these cars. I wouldn't be suprised if John just gets swamped with orders soon after the first few are out the door.

You know I used to think that these cars were not attractive. Now I think it's about the most pure form possible. Damn, that's a pretty car!

My Speedy is conservative and classic except for the talbot mirrors. My green coupe will be done in more of an outlaw style. I am trying to duplicate much of the look of the green coupe photo I posted above. Exterior will be Dark British Racing Green. Interior will be done in Cork

I dated a girl in high school (as did eveyone else) and her name was greenglo.

You are more than welcome to steal GREENGO - consider it my small contribution to this gorgeous car.

I like the billet fuel door idea. I also like the Raydyots and considered them for mine. Carey sent me a picture of a coupe with Raydyots and I'll see if I can locate it and post it.

EDIT: What am I saying?! The picture at the start of the threads shows Raydyots. They're perfect for the outlaw look, and period correct to boot. Still, I'll try and locate the other pic.

Thanks Gerd for the visit update. I'm sure there hasn't been much progress yet.

It took me forever to make my decision. Now that I have, the waiting is going to be a a real *****!

Temp was 54 degrees yesterday - a regular heat wave in PA for the beginning of March. Got the Speedy out for a cruise thinking that would help. My wife even came along (she hates the cold). Fun to be sure, but reinforces why I want that coupe!

I'm on the other end of the state 2 miles from the NJ border. Easton is about 70 miles north of Philly and about 80 miles west of NYC. Butler is in western Pa along I80 (I think). I'm about 110 miles east of Carlisle.

What's the connection to Butler?

With the right engine and the wrong driver, it'll happen more than you want. Our drag Beetle just started to wheelie last season, over the Winter we've been framing and caging it to make it possible to re-distribute the weight and prevent it from happening this year.

Think anyone is going to hunt down umbrella hand brakes, VDM steering wheels, and genuine 356 dash knobs for the coupes? No chance.

So much research and development, so little respect. Not even "born" yet, and already disrespected. How's a coupe gonna make it in todays' "I LOVE a top down" world . . . . ?
