Lane, Yes John plans to deliver it at Carlisle so that will be my first hands on experience with the green machine too.

Gerd, Thanks for the offer. That would be fantastic. I would really appreciate regular updates.

Angela, Great plates!

Vince, I was expecting you to go one up on the toad theme with horny toad.

Theron, I love that silver car - waaay cool!

WOO HOO! Can't wait 2BGRN! or GRN N GRIN'N!
You are more than welcome to steal GREENGO - consider it my small contribution to this gorgeous car.

I like the billet fuel door idea. I also like the Raydyots and considered them for mine. Carey sent me a picture of a coupe with Raydyots and I'll see if I can locate it and post it.

EDIT: What am I saying?! The picture at the start of the threads shows Raydyots. They're perfect for the outlaw look, and period correct to boot. Still, I'll try and locate the other pic.
Thanks Gerd for the visit update. I'm sure there hasn't been much progress yet.

It took me forever to make my decision. Now that I have, the waiting is going to be a a real *****!

Temp was 54 degrees yesterday - a regular heat wave in PA for the beginning of March. Got the Speedy out for a cruise thinking that would help. My wife even came along (she hates the cold). Fun to be sure, but reinforces why I want that coupe!

Keep those pics coming. I really appreciate it. Thanks again.

ILL GO EVERY SATURDAY BEFORE I START TAXES.
TODAY WAS GORGEOUS, GOT TO JPS AND NO ONE WAS THERE AND THEN JOHN PULLED UP AND WE UNLOADED THE CARS OUT OF THE SHOP.
JOHN LAUGHED ABOUT THE PICS AS THE TWO COUPS WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHED THOUGHOUT ALL STAGES OF BUILD OUT TO BE PUT ON HIS WEBSITE. I DISCUSSED MY COUP WITH HIM ALSO. WILL PROBABLY ORDER THIS TIME NEXT YEAR
GERD
"a 356 doing wheelies!!?"

With the right engine and the wrong driver, it'll happen more than you want. Our drag Beetle just started to wheelie last season, over the Winter we've been framing and caging it to make it possible to re-distribute the weight and prevent it from happening this year.
Cory,

I'd love to toast the coupe wearin' o' the green with a pint of the black craic at Carlisle!

God then made man.
The Italian for their beauty.
The French for fine food.
The Swedes for intelligence.
The Jew for religion.
And on and on until he looked at what
he had created and said,
"This is all very fine but no one is having fun.
I guess I'll have to make me an Irishman."

Slainte!

Drivin' these cars is sooo much fun - we all must be Irish!

Ireland . . . .

"We can't be out there fishin', were an island nation! We grow potatas!

Repeat the above with a fake brogue and as loud as you can.

A nation SO STUPID that they can starve to death surrounded by an ocean full of fish.

Oh, and that coupe! Not even released as yet and already enjoying second class status! I'm gonna keep the Speedster stock, but the coupe will be done up Outlaw style, that way I'll have the best of both worlds.

What?!? TWO fake Porsches? One with all the original 356 crap hanging off of it and the other with a lot of cheapo repro junk and VW parts filling in, but with bullet mirrors.

Think anyone is going to hunt down umbrella hand brakes, VDM steering wheels, and genuine 356 dash knobs for the coupes? No chance.

So much research and development, so little respect. Not even "born" yet, and already disrespected. How's a coupe gonna make it in todays' "I LOVE a top down" world . . . . ?
