Advance notice in case you want to hide the women and children:-0. Sandy, the kids and me are coming for Spring Break. March 25th to April 3rd. I'll be with the Mafia much of the week (Granada Hills) and hope to spend a few days in Oxnard at their house on the canal. I would love for you guys to try and set up a cruise for March 31st (Saturday) or April 1st (Sunday). Wanted to give advance notice and see if anyone is interested.

I am also looking for ideas on things to do? The air fare was killer so we made it a few extra days. I never flew into LAX so that alone sounds a little scary. I hope it's easy enough to grab a car and get out of.

I want to show the kids the Pacific Coast (it's their first time) so I'll try to book a night or two in something with a view. That is it for now.

well im sure u have been to disneyland already so u might consider

as disneyland is the magic kingdom, vinceyland is the magic condom.

Believe me.....Been into and out of LAX almost a hundred times. Flying into/out of LAX is nothing. And it's totally easy to rent a car and leave the airport.

THAT's when your real problems start - just getting anywhere after leaving the airport will be your real adventure. I once left LAX to drive to Huntington Beach. What? 22 miles on the 410? "Shoot!" I thought. "What's that?......30 minutes?"

Took me 4 HOURS!

Marty, LA is easy to get around in, you just drive real slow and you normally have about an hour or so to merge into other lanes. That horse trail along the ocean is a good alternative until you need to go inland.

If you have the time, you should consider renting a car and making the drive up Highway 1 to Monterey. Spend the night in Monterey and drive back down the 101 freeway to make it back to LA. This would burn up two days, but will be a trip the kids will remember for a lifetime.

My eldest and I did PCH from LA to San Francisco and back in August to celebrate my 50th. The highlight of the trip was the group cruise with the gang on Mulholand. After that, Hearst Castle, and PCH got REALLY interesting North of there.

Monterey and PHC -1 on the Checklist. Vince, I cant get that horse picture out of my head.

Ok, I booked two nights in Monteray at the Canary district (March 27th and 28th). We will be back in town very late on the 29th. Trying to get the keys for Oxnard house for that weekend. I am still up for a cruise on April 1st if we can pull it off.

Is Hearst Castle any good? We may shorten are ride up the coast due to not so good weather up in Monterey. I thought maybe just run up the coast to this area (San Simeon or Paso Robles) and stay one night or two. What else can we see in the surrounding areas? How about Hotels? Thanks
