I installed some Led halo light strips around the perimeters of my Hella headlights with halogen bulbs. They really look cool when on day or night. But at night when I turn on the headlights at night those halogen bulbs just look yellow in the center and are surrounded by that brilliance of the LED halos. Overall the headlights just look sick like they're going to puke or something.  I've looking for a set of LED bulbs to replace the halogens but all those available seem to have varied specifications and it's confusing for me.  Heck, all I want is a pair of bulbs about equal in light output to the halogens but have that higher kelvin number so that they match the light color of my Halos!   I will hardly ever be driving at night so I don't need a set of high powered units but I would like to get rid of the yellow puking  out of the center of my headlights.  I ordered a set from ultrabrightleds.com but they are now out of stock and don't know when they will have more in stock, if ever.

So..can someone direct me to a set of "low caliber" ??  LED H4 bulbs to fit my Hella Buckets ?  The halogen bulbs I have now are  H4 12 volt/60/55 watt  P45t      This is a little embarrassing for me to ask what friggen light bulb to get but then again...I have trouble figuring out how to use the remote to turn my hearing aids up or down.  it used to be Watts...bulb base size and that was it. Now add Lumens and Kelvin temps. H4 -H6 - H11. socket designation, air cooled,  heat syncs,  etc. and I'm lost...............Bruce

I have purchased the 2800, 3500 and 4000 from Vintage LEDs.

The 3500 have been installed in my VS for a couple months, approx 3,000 miles of driving and are going strong. I had the 2800s installed before, but the internal cooling fan on one failed after about 20 months ( and about 18000 happy driving miles), and they were replaced at no cost with the 3500.  Awesome customer service by VintageCar LEDs.  A++ on support communication and service.

Also have a set of 3500 and 4000 bulbs installed in our two SUVs.  A Honda Pilot and AudiQ7, both for now close to two years...  they are on as driving lights as well when we drive and they are still going strong/ working great.

Bruce ...  You have some options.

while I like LED's I have yet to find a bulb that has the same light pattern used in our existing focuses lenses but more so in the EURO headlight like you have I believe.

( Dynamo above has that type of LED bulb but they are not cheap.  If others have them I am not aware

Option one with Halogen bulb

1- You can get a P45T base... H4 bulb in 55/60Watt (power=Lumens)  in 4000K (white spectrum of light )  FYI,     3500 Kelvin is in the yellow light spectrum.

I run 80/100Watt P45T H4 I bought them from Alibaba for $10 shipped.

Second Option.....

2- Now you can also get an adapter $15(for 2) to adapt a P43T bulb (these are the normal bulbs seen all over )   to use in a P45T bulb holder bucket.

Dynamo above has them .... then you can get a P43T bulb in the 55/60watt in a 4000kelvin bright white light.

Hope this helps.

Funny this topic came up. Yesterday Thomas D. from Vintage Car LED's just sent out replacement VC 3500 bulbs to me for free. My 2800's ( forget what they were) the ones they first made with the fans. I have them in my Speedster And Spyder love them. Last October the ones in the Speedster started to flicker in the low beam, the high is fine. I've had them for 2 years called Vintage spoke to Thomas and he said he'd send me the new bulbs free they are on the way. I asked about the 4000's and he said they're not too much better than the 3500.
