As car guys, you may appreciate this. My dad was a mechanic so we always had a welding setup. There was this thing called an "acetylene bomb" but he would never tell us how to do it. Two boys -smart man. Needless to say we figured it out. Get a neutral flame on the torch and put it out (leaving the oxy/acetylene running) and fill a plastic bag. What you have are the elements for a violent explosion. I worked at a heavy equipment place as a teenager where an older fella was up my butt about something. I put a small bag in front of him and threw a match at it. His ears rang for the next two weeks. The business owner wasn't happy with me but...
Then my brother decided to use a trash bag one 4th -beyond crazy. The static from his fiancÉ's corduroys set it off. I can still see her in the bathroom shaking -pulling small pieces of plastic out of her hair. Hearing and vision damage for both of them. But, an old mechanic's trick that's a crowd pleaser.
My 17-year-old is dying to know how to do it. Needless to say....
