Happy New Year!

The evening was pretty tame up here; a bunch of neighbors (and everybody's kids) in the house across the street. Nobody got too drunk, no wild New Years kisses with the wrong spouse, and we were in bed by 1:30. Happy New Years, all!!!

That's my wish also this year, in my new IM6.

I keep telling people to buy lottery tickets...

Many great driving days to everyone as well.

My wife and I kept it simple last night.  Dinner at Lunas restaurant in Clovis, CA (Which has been in continuous operation at the same location for 46 years) and a movie.  Then we went to a friend's house to ring in the New Year. 

The movie we saw was Unbroken. The true story of Louis Zamperini http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Zamperini

I must say that was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.  What he went through in his life and how he faced it, succumbed to his addictions, and eventually overcame all of the tragedy and persevered....what an inspiration.

I recommend that movie for everyone.

ALB: I can beat that.  Watched a couple of re-runs on the telly, and was in bed before 11:00.  I will assume that the Ball dropped on time without my assistance.

Up at 2:00AM yesterday, drove 450 miles to pick up a load of cars in WV then back home, followed by a wonderful Cystocope ( don't ask) done at 2:45 ( 5 years bladder cancer free!) and in bed by 7:00PM and slept for 11 plus hours !

Good on ya, Alan!  A clean exam is the best way for any of us to ring in the new year.  Here's to many more!

And now I'm feeling like we did "rock" the New Year in!

I drove this morning, nice sunny, it was 39 when I left home in the early morning

The band I play in had a party gig that ended at 2:00, home & in bed by 3:30, got up around 09:00 & made breakfast for wife & I, then I went out for my traditional New year Day morning cruise.

Happy New Year to ALL my knucklehead SOC friends!!
