I want to wish all my friends on the SOC a very Happy New Year filled with great 356 driving and enjoying!

I have been reluctant over the years to join this "enthusiast" forum: as a manufacturer I felt it was a bit self-serving. I have enjoyed visiting SOC and of course knowing in person and over the net many of you, so have decided that I have something to add and, with the encouragement of many of you, have decided to join.  I plan to keep you up to date on developments at Intermeccanica and also help with questions that I see where I feel I can.  I am happy to welcome 2015 as an official vendor supporter of this great forum and part of the madness which is SOC!

Henry---welcome aboard!  Your strong participation and support of the various activities with the Speedster group for many years at Carlisle makes you more "on board" than many of us already on the SOS forum.

No one thinks your presence is self serving and knowing you, we will benefit as much, or even more than you will,  by your presence and suggestions.  Glad you are here!

Somehow, Henry, I always figured you were an occasional "lurker" on here, just to see where some of us in this silly hobby are going.

It has always been my pleasure to see you at Carlisle and I'm looking forward to your posts on here.  Just remember that this site can suck up your time very quickly!!

Welcome aboard (as I believe you caught the "Madness" many years ago!)

Riiiiiight, David.  Here's the real story: Bob is getting a very nice IM with a custom-made steering wheel from my friend Mike Lempert.  Having installed one in my own car, I am considered an expert on the subject (mostly by me).  The plan is for Bob to fly me, along with the steering wheel, up to Vancouver to install it when the car is ready to leave Henry's facility.  I will then drive the car to Bob's home to properly break in the car, and more importantly, the steering wheel.  Naturally I will swing south to avoid the rough weather in Canada, then drive the car north to Carlisle in May, where Bob will take delivery.

Seriously guys, it's the only way that makes sense.
