A friend of mine bought one a few years ago for working on his 911 and Evo. It works pretty well - I've helped him with a couple of brake jobs and suspension swaps, and it certainly makes things easier than crawling around on your back with the car up on jack stands.
He had a problem with the pump on his, but they were pretty good about replacing the needed parts.

I have a similar scissor lift (not Harbor Freight) mine only goes to 36" and is a pleasure to use. If I were to purchase another I would go with a 48" minimum rise height.
