Got a VS 2004 speedster on the way and it looks like those VS seats are going to put me up over the windshield. I'm 6'2" 230lbs and pretty sure I'm gonna be taking out some bugs with my melon. Any suggestions on possibly taking the track out or another option? Would rather not drop a bunch of coin on new seats if I can help it.

Oh, thank you ahead!
You may be making a bigger problem out of it than it really is. At 5' 11" I stick up a bit over the windshield in my Beck, but I've never taken out a bug - probably due to air flow. The frame does bisect my vision a bit, but you get used to it. I'd say drive it a bit before you make any changes.
I'm a little over 6 feet and needed to lower the seat in my Beck. Its very easy in a beck just four bolts. I'll take a picture if you want.
Good point Lane. I guess it's pretty bad when I am already planning modifications on a car that has not even been delivered yet! Lol
Steady Eddie, if you get a chance that would be cool. No rush. Love those whitewalls dude! Looks great!
Yeah, that color combo with the chrome wheels and white walls looks just right, doesn't it?
Hell yeah. Classy looking.
I'll get a shot of the under side this week. You can see the height difference here:

Maybe take a picture of the left and right wheels (so we have something to gauge the car against (wheel well).
Those pics show us a shiny white interior.... Best make sure you shower before getting in that pretty thing.
Driving with shoe covers and white gloves isn't that bad.
Thanks SE. Stellar interior dude. All around great ride. Comparing your seat top versus mine their has got to be at least 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 inch difference. Sweet.

SE did your Beck come with the rear seat/bench? Not that I would put the kids back there just like the way it finishes off the interior.
Seriously what a great color combo with the white walls, absolutely gorgeous.
Beck did the rear seat. Thanks guys. I like it too – that's why I bought it even though I had to save up my pennies since childhood.
There are two different seat styles from Vintage. You have the larger of the two, usually used for someone much shorter. They have another cut-down style which is used for someone your size. Contact Vintage and ask them. It makes a big difference.
Also, you can always sell your existing ones if they are in good condition. There are not any tracks that will get your seats lower or back farther.

Cool. Thanks Theron.Hopefully Eddie's work around works for me too. Even though the other style seat's would be great I am tapped after this purchase! Got the evil eye for from the girlfriend after the purchase so already on the s@&t list! Lol
