Gordon,

Appreciate the props for spelling the Queen's English the pukka way!

Do you know the history behind the difference? Apparently, the discoverer of aluminium, a Mr. Davy, actually proposed calling the element aluminum at first. Then in 1807 changed the name to aluminium to fit in with the naming convention for the other elements ending in -ium.

In fact aluminium was the correct term even in the USA until 1925, when the American Chemical Society decided to use only the aluminum name from then on in all their documents.

In any case, I am probably going to purchase a non-aluminum (sic) header frame as well at some point. Joe, I would be interested to hear whether you have any problems fitting it to your CMC.

Cheers,

Jim
I also bought the Porsche dash script emblem from them about two months ago. Very high quality, great packaging and shipping, and excellent customer service (they were originally on back order but promptly called me when they were re-stocked). Although their prices are slightly higher than others, I was impressed with their quality and service and will most likely buy my new rear license shine-up light from them to replace my corroded one.
Ditto to what everyone has said. Jim is a class act with great customer service and followup and competitively priced parts. Some items he sells cheaper than the other guys too. I bought some of the emblems and scripts from him and shipment was quick. I recommend him in a heartbeat and is definitely in my list of parts suppliers.
I checked out their online catalog for a crested hubcap logo and apparently they didn't have them. What I had previously ordered from Mid America, my original source, has been on back order since August. Pelican didn't seem to have them either, at least according to their online catalog. I'm referring to the crest only, not the hubcap with crest.

I have always got good parts and service at Klasse 356. If you have any problems with merchandice you get there, they will work with you (with in reason of course)

Their rubber stocks are limited. I still need a correct roadster windshield to top seal. I got something But I would like to find a softseal type peace. Soft seal rubber is better
Just wanted to vouch once more for Jim's great service and prices at Klasse 356.com. Last week I bought from him the two rubber seals that fit under the front hood handle; not only did I get them quick but I paid one third of what Mid America (formerly known as Tweeks) was asking for them.....
Barry, I had the same problem with my VS and Gordon Nichols told me to use Frost King foam weatherstripping such as found in Home Depot. I went to my local Home Depot and couldn't find Frost King but I found something similar. You just remove the backing to expose the adhesive and put it on the front bow. My leaking front bow problems are now history.
