I am looking into this as well. I have a second TIV 1.7 with a FULL FI set up. Not sure what can be done. I have all of the sandwich tins from the 914, but the engine will have to be turned around and made to fit. I am not sure what cooling shroud I can use that will allow an FI set up. I am not in any hurry, it is too damn hot to fitz around in the garage right now. I will work with in in the fall.
i was wondering if the stock T4 cooling setup physically fits in a speedster. i know it doesn't in a bug, but there is quite a bit more room in the 356.
I'll bet Jake and Carey have tried.
I think the cooling fan on the back of the crank and its aluminum outer housing adds nearly 8" which probably would just hit the rear body metal support.

The ones I have seen have a extra hole behind the licence plate and the grill hole is cut out . How would you seal up the engine bay on a suitcase T4?
