Alan, This looks to be one of your creations from years past,around 2004-2005. Can you positively ID this car? Looks as though the wheels have been changed, but it definitely has Merklin the magician written all over it! It was a great car when you built it,and it still looks great today.

Maybe a race car guy can comment.  Pushing wheels out puts extra stress on wheel bearings and lug bolts.  You need to frequently check wheel bearings (especially with quality of current ones) plus longer lug bolts are needed.  I've read that 8 complete bolt threads are needed to securely bolt on the wheels.  I'm using 1/2 spacers on front to clear calipers and allow room for center cap (912 2Ls).  I've seen 1" plus used on 911!
