I'm going to be taking the column off of my steering shaft. What is the best  ignition switch to install for an in dash, also what do I do for a turn signal when I do this?
When lowering the rear (IRS) can I get away with just a torsion bar adjustment or do I need a adjustable spring plate? (I want a nice ride, front has adjustable beam and drop spindles). Any help is greatly appreciated and Merry Xmas guys!

A marine key switch with accessory position can be used for ignition. Use an early '58-65 Bus turn signal (or 66-67).

Adjusting the rear torsion bars will work - you just might have to do a second time to get it exactly where you want it.  With the adjustable spring plates you just twist bolt.  If you have double spring plates - you'd lose them though when using an adjustable spring plate.
