Our local club had it's annual show/swap yesterday... We lucked out with the threatening weather with no rain. We again broke a showfield record with 279 VW's registered(years 1950-2008)of all types. We registered 221 last year. Spectator count also broke a record. At some points we backed up traffic on Rt.322 at which the local police weren't happy. It was a really nice day. The swap vendor field was huge. I'm seeing the aircooled parts dwindling as most stuff is for H20 cooled cars.
I did manage to score three original fan shrouds in pretty good shape.
Two of them still have the thermostat flaps in them.
Once again The Porsche swap meet was in Hershey at the same time.
Anybody make it to that. I was too busy to get away.

Hang on to those fan shrouds.....just like IRS CV Joint star bolts and their serrated washers, you simply won't be able to find them soon (real German ones, anyway).
