I have had my CMC for a couple months and I am loving every minute I get to drive it. Has anyone looked into putting a motorcycle engine in their speedster. I was looking at the Suzuki Hayabusa motor, used motors are selling for $1500-$2500 on ebay including transmission and wiring. I have always wanted a motorcycle but with the recent death of my friend in a motorcycle accident, motorcycles are not an option. This Hayabusa motor is a sweet one.

With any motorcycle hybrid I would look carefully at the Torque and Hp vs RPM curves. You may get 200+ Hp but do you really want it at 8000 RPM? Do you really want peak torque at 6000 RPM? And a speedster is at least 3 times the weight of a cycle. OK, it's all in the gears, but what is it really going to be like to drive?

That said, I think it would be a fun project for the "fabricators" among us. And you can call me for the first test drive!
Jay leno had his guys make him a motorcycle powered car.

He has two gear boxes. so he has six forward gears and six in reverse. "google" v8 Hayabusa and you find a company that fused two hayabusa motors together, man would that be fun. At this time I have a 1600cc motor with 36 dellerto carbs, anything would be faster then this.
