I do what Alan does.

Don't bother upgrading the switch, just install a relay after the switch to off-load the current from the switch. That's why I have so many relays in Pearl (8, at last count).

I've used these up to 40 amps on Cibie Driving lights with great results, although they get a tad warm with 60 amp lights:

If you're wicked cool you can get the pigtail/socket for it, too. (Sorry, I don't have a part number for those, but the NAPA guy might be able to help - if he's old).
