Don't know about the rest of you, but I am getting ready for Knotts. My registration is paid, room resrvations made for a Thursday arrival and a early Monday departure and I just paid Hagertys my annual premium.

UPS pulled up with goodies from JPS's John Steele early this week and so I've got stuff to do in prep! Adding a passenger side mirror, putting a set of Super Caps with new crests on, stone grills, resetting the track and base for the pair of Speedster seats from John so they will sit lower and as far back as possible. Shopping for a lightweight quik set-up canopy that doesn't take alot of room. Getting a shop to make carpet for the new larger gas tank... and if I get time I am putting a pair of 16x5 flowmasters on my CSP system to let you know I'm coming from a block away. New speakers, and just got a new shift knob with crest and horn button with crest from NARDI-USA. In April I'll detail it. I may put a bra on it for the trip... 1600 miles on I-40 may give me some chip marks.

Bottom Line? I'm pumped. Jack Moore, I'm writing you, hope you come up from Texas and travel tandem with me! Anyone from Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas or where ever is welcome to caravan.

Anyone else excited?

Thanks to John and Bruce for their work!

Jim,

Good to hear you are making headway on your trip plans. I plan on arriving on Thursday afternoon at the Marriott also. I'm only coming about 725 miles from Southern Oregon so you got me covered. We may get us a convoy Thursday morning from the Bay area. Still working on that but Dale Bates is the wagon master. Got my radar detector tested and excuses scripted, LOL. Dale will want to lead since he has a BIG engine. I may get left in the dust. Maybe us Thursday guys can get together and get some of the SoCal food together. John has the T shirts, hats and stickers ordered or actually taken delivery. I have ordered the trophies and got a few other things to stuff in the car for the drive down.

Jim, you going to go topless if the weather is good? I had mine out yesterday with the top up but the side cutains off and the top was flopping around good, don't know if the nerves could take that too long. It is not as bad with the side curtains in but then it gets claustophobic.

If any of you guys coming have some Speedster related item that you can part with, bring it along and we'll add it to the raffle. Books, hardware, anything that you'd like to recieve. In other words no rusty mufflers.

West Coast Bruce
